Many thanks go to the Birthing Centre unit at the WCH. In particular Emily Daw who helped us all the way through the pregnancy and birth, Susan Magarey, the student midwife who assisted her, and Kathy Lynch, the midwife who provided backup care. For those who don't know in the Birthing Centre the midwives control and conduct the visits and the birth in cases where there are no unusual circumstances requiring the aid of an obstetrician.
